Nuno Ricou Salgado divulgou uma resenha do projecto FLANEUR nos seguintes termos:
Sinopsys Flâneur
Flâneur is a photography network project based in an international partnership of about 20 organisations from 11 different countries.
Its main purpose is to carry out artistic interventions in public spaces inspired by the cities and using contemporary photography as its main artistic media.
Flâneur encourages artists to create new interpretations of the urban terrain, having the concept of flâneur as a starting point and considering the physical context of the city as a social kaleidoscope in constant evolution.
It’s, at the same time, a process of deconstruction and democratisation of art enjoyment, sharing it with a heterogeneous audience.
Created and developed by Procur.arte together with the network partners, Flâneur is supported by the European Commission, through the Creative Europe Cooperation Projects of the EACEA (Audio-visual and Culture Executive Agency) and by UNESCO through the International Fund for Promotion of Culture (2015 edition).
During 2015 and 2016 we commisioned 27 photographers from 11 european countries, who produced during their artistic residences, a new body of work with around 600 images about Europe nowadays.
We will conclude this project on May 2017and we want to develop new projects related with the city stem from our cultural aproach.
